Meet Emily Marshall

Emily Marshall is a young woman from a small town in Pennsylvania, right outside of Philadelphia. Emily grew up in a household with two siblings, her parents, and dogs. Emily has made many achievements in highschool that helped to shape her future goals. For example, she participated in Athletes Helping Athletes, an organization that includes athletes playing games and sports with those with special needs. She received a spot on the Athletes Helping Athletes executive board her senior year. She was also the captain of her field hockey team for two years. Even while balancing extracurricular activities and her academics, she remained highly ranked in her class. Emily graduated from highschool in 2019 and went on to attend West Chester University. She plans to graduate in May 2023 with a media and culture degree and a minor in communications. Emily chose the media and culture major because she finds inspiration in working in media. Emily has been on the dean’s list in both the spring 2020 and spring 2021 semesters. In her future career plans, she is interested in public relations, advertising, and marketing. Emily is skilled and experienced in Microsoft Office and Apple softwares. During her time at WCU, Emily is involved with a Greek life organization and is a member of the National Student Speech Hearing Association. In her sorority, she upholds the position as Director of Internal Events. In this position she organizes and plans formal events for the chapter. In the upcoming spring semester, she plans to take up an executive board position to grow her involvement and improve her public relations skills. Emily believes holding her position in the sorority has taught her many important skills that she will utilize in future jobs. Throughout Emily’s life, she has had a passion for production in media and writing. Growing up, she would create iMovies and other videos for her friends and family to see. She has also taken and excelled in multiple high level highschool and college writing courses. Aside from her academic achievements, Emily enjoys shopping, interior design, her dogs, social media, cooking, and spending quality time with family. In the summer, Emily spends a majority of her free time in Wildwood, New Jersey with her friends.
